Steve/Tony - A Sudden shower of insight axolotl_lan June 21 2008, 18:53:47 UTC
"I can't believe you ate that entire cone yourself!" Tony said with exasperation.

"You bought it for me, if you had wanted one you could have gotten one for yourself. Who shares ice cream cones anyhow? I get how you could share a bowl, you just get another spoon but-" Steve was cut off by a torrent of rain coming down on them.

"A sun shower- really? Okay, Steve. I officially believe that our first date cannot get anymore cliched" Tony pulled off his shirt to uselessly attempt at wringing it out, as the rain continued to pour from the cheerily bright blue sky and fluffy white clouds.

Steve shuffled his feet and leaned closer to Tony, "Our first date?"

Tony abruptly lifted his head face reddening more by the second,
"you didn't know? I asked you out for ice cream, I held your hand in the theatre!"

"Your my friend Tony. I just hadn't realized... that, well, you thought of me -like that- and that this was a date. I mean I know you said 'It's a date' but I thought you meant it in the 'I the busy Tony Stark am jotting this occasion into my schedule and making time to actually have a social life that does not consist of schmoozing with old men and floozies for my company'" Steve said with aplomb.

"Steve, you -are- an old man." Tony said twisting his soaked shirt and slapping it at Steve's bottom.

"Tony!" Steve shouted in shock.

The two began to wrestle over the shirt their bodies pressing against each other until they were both laying on the grass in the park, shadowed by a copse of trees. Only the odd stray drip fell onto their bodies as the humidity began to make them pant...

"Y'know, I never said I wasn't interested in a date." Steve said the tip of his nose pressing into Tony's.

A drip fell onto the corner of Tony's lips where Steve proceeded to lick it away.

licking his lips after Tony spoke softly to Steve as the taste reached his tongue.

"I suppose you'll be able to share that ice cream with me after all."
