They're nothing special, nothing special at all, and maybe that in itself is what makes them so wonderful. He sleeps in a little, but not nearly as much as Alan, so when he gets up he puts on the coffee and goes for a short run, usually just a mile or two, over to the bagel shop to pick up a half dozen for breakfast. By the time he gets back, Keerthi is awake and idly flipping through the newspaper for the comics. She digs into the bagels, and they spend about an hour talking and arguing. It's their together time, one of the few times throughout the week that they get to see each other one-on-one.
Alan wanders down the stairs towards the end of their hour, but he's not conscious until at least his second cup of coffee. He and Danny read the paper while Keerthi does her homework or reads a book. It sets the pace for the whole day, which usually mostly consists of the three of them lounging around the house or taking a walk to the park. It's calm and quiet. No one is shouting for Danny's attention, no one is shoving a camera in his face, and everyone's problems can be solved without causing a diplomatic incident.
