what could make people happier?
So, there's a lot of hysteria on my f-list right now, and people getting alternately angry and weepy over something that I do not know anything about and am not remotely interested in. I am just strangely confused, because--and maybe this is my fandom age showing, seeing as how I've been doing fandom things for over a decade, now--this is what always happens when something gets big. A fandom gets big and it gets attention and it gets f_wed and people bitch about how it's taking over and... whatever. All the time. I remember when it happened with SGA a few years ago (reaction then: Oh, hey, like the show with MacGyver and Scully's dad that we used to watch; reaction now: oooooh, so that's what they were talking about), I remember when it happened with SPN just last year (reaction then: oh, hey, I meant to watch that show. maybe I'll get around to it someday; probable reaction in the future: oooooh, so that's what they were talking about!), and it's totally happened with bandom now.
But you know what? I don't care. Because you're my f-list and I love you and there are still people out there that like what I like.
What I like is this:
DINOSAURS.
As long as we all like dinosaurs, I think everything will turn out okay in the end.
I think this calls for a picspam, internet. Let me show you my dinosaurs.

Pterodactyls like fish! They swooped down to get them from lakes, etc, like some of today's birds! This is a True Fact.
When Brendan and I were little, we called these ones "ankys." They were friends with the carnivores AND the herbivores when we played dinosaurs.
When I was little, diplodocus was my favourite dinosaur. I am very predictable.
"HI THERE!!!" He is very excited to see you.

This is a Hadrosaur! Hadrosaurs were found in Haddonfield, NJ! (This is also a True Fact.)
