writer's block can bite me.

Hey, guys. Review of Company coming, I swear (although, seriously? It's mostly worship of Raul Esparza, John Doyle, and Stephen Sondheim.), but I thought I'd post this first.

I've been... clearly having trouble writing lately. Because. You know. My brain is broken or something. And I was thinking about advent--remember advent? when I wrote every day for a months?--and thought maybe something like that would be good to do again. Because as frustrating as it was, I wrote something every day and I felt like, at the end of the day, I had something to show for myself. Even if I spent the rest of the day sick in bed or watching teevee, I had a couple of hundred words of productivity.

So, I'm thinking about doing a July advent. Except, clearly, it won't be advent, because that was seasonal. And also, it won't be consecutive stories, which advent was never supposed to be but ended up being anyway. And it won't even be one fandom--I'll probably do original stuff mixed with fic. And I thought I'd throw this idea out to the rest of you, who might be having boring summers as well, and offer to make a community or something if there are enough people interested.

If it's just me, then... I'll just make you all suffer through it here, just like advent.

So... comment if you're interested, I guess. Basically, the idea will be that every day I'll post a prompt from one of my prompt books and write... you know, a handful of words or whatever comes out. And, since this is really informal, I guess you can either use that prompt or think of something of your own. Write serial stories or unrelated things. Fandom or original. Whatever.

Comment! I'm going to have some ice cream and watch some Law and Order.

eta: itsproductivity! For fun and games! And writing! And fun times! Wheee!

writing: w0es, july stuff, friends
