OH MY GOD GUYS. Stephen just pulled out The God Machine on TCR. My family LOVES the God Machine. My mom used to leave me messages on my cellphone at school doing the God Machine noises. NOT EVEN KIDDING.
Speaking of my mom and phones:
Dad: ::gesturing towards the phone my mom just hung up:: Who's sick?
Mom: Bethy had surgery on her foot on Monday. I'm a bad sister. I forgot all about it.
Dad: What was it for?
Mom: I'm really bad. I have no idea. She told me. I just. Um, there was something wrong with her foot? And they did surgery to fix it.
Kait: ::bursts out laughing::
Mom: What?
Kait: Well, yeah, I don't know many people who have surgery on their feet for no reason.
Mom: Shut up! I'll ask her subtly later.
Later on she told me to get up off the couch to look in the closet, where a scarf that I had stuffed in a plastic bag looked like an alien face. Oh god. The joys of living at home.

(I mentioned it in the comments that spawned the idea, but there used to be a guy that worked at the Whole Foods in White Plains who a) reminded me of Joe Flanigan and b) validated my parking even when he shouldn't have.)

the episode of Futurama where Fry tours the Slurm factory is on! I feel like I was just talking about this one with Rob and... it's entirely possible that this is true.
