yuletide reveal!

Today was busy and I have other things to post (and a story to finish--oh god, I think it's going to have two endings. I'm glad I'm gimmicky as all getup.) BUT I wanted to post this first!

yuletide authors are up and I can talk about my fic, finally!

I wrote The Great Unifier which was a Dexter story! It has really heavy spoilers for the season finale, but if you've seen Dexter you should read it! It's told alternatingly from Dex and the ITK's point of view and it's mostly about their relationship with each other. I ACTUALLY LIKE IT. READ IT!

eta: Wow, I just realized I come off kind of bitchy here! I just kind of want people to read it because it's the first yuletide story I've written that I've really loved and really been proud of. I like this story a helluva lot. For reasons I won't go into cause of spoilers and all. But I loved writing it and loved how it turned out.

Everyone always has a story about the oddness of being paired with whatever particular fandom they wrote for, and I am no different! When I filled out my requests, I waffled on requesting Dexter because even though I had loved the first four episodes to pieces, I didn't know if it was something I'd end up being fannish about. I signed up, in the end, and then, at the last minute, figured I'd offer Dexter as well.

I have no idea why I did this. It is because I am a LUNATIC. Of course that was the fandom I ended up with. My recipient requested Dex's mom OR Dex/ITK. I thought I'd end up writing the first and (kind of) ended up writing the second. And I really love this story. Kind of a lot.

Anyway! That's enough ranting about yuletide. At least until next year.

PS!! I kept meaning to do a rec list and never did, but if you only read one story (aside from mine, of course XP) you should read Gerda and the Snow Queen which is what comes after the happily ever after in the Hans Christen Andersen story about the Snow Queen. It's totally fabulous! (And written by Moonsheen.) I can't wait until Alex is totally successful and I am not and we are still living together and she's making a zillion dollars and I'm living on graham crackers and applesauce.
