I'm vaguely irritated by this.
The First Lady wasn't always a spouse! Instead of showing a picture of Lady Liberty to represent Jefferson's First Lady, why not show a picture of his daughter? You know, his actual First Lady. While it might not be "common" knowledge that not all First Ladies are spouses (and thus I don't expect Congress or the US Mint to know it--I think the 110th Congress has proven to us time and again that they are pretty much worthless), one would think that a publication used the world over as a primary source of information would know something as elementary as that. Crazy as it is, I expect a modicum of intelligence from the NYT, even if I don't except the same from the US Government.

If I ever get dressed, I'm going to head to the Post Office to get stamps. That will allow the majority of the cards to be sent out! There are a few I'm still working on--the ones going in packages and the ones that include drabbles (save for two). I promise they'll get done soon. The person whose card will probably be latest is
inocciduous, because my mind is so wrapped up in Advent it's been hard to take myself out of that timeline to work on something for her. SORRY JEN I LOVE YOU ANYWAY I PROMISE!

I am so sick of working 4-11. But it does mean monies! And I desperately need that!
