I think "Circle of Friends" might be my favourite episode, if only because it's so, so sassy. I like it when Doakes exists calls Dex "sparky." It makes me giggle.
So, going with the "Rudy and Dex are brothers" theory, we're left with two totally seperate fetishes from the same event. Rudy's fixation is on dismemberment. He's an... amputee-limb-maker (I'm sure it has a name), and he says to Deb in CoF, "When I was little my mom got in a car accident and she lost both her legs... I rememebr when it happened, I just wanted to put her back together. You know, like Humpty Dumpty? Just, the pieces weren't round."
We know that Dex was covered in blood and watched the bloodbath and ended up with a fixation on blood. Rudy watched (presumably) the same carnage, and yet focuses on dismemberment with an extreme hatred for blood.
I'm really hoping that the two of them discuss their different perspectives on what happened to their mother. (Assuming we go along with the "Rudy and Dex are brothers" theory, which seems very explicit at this point.)
There are a lot of questions I'd like to see answered in regards to why Rudy presented his victims in this certain way, how long he's known about Dexter, and if he's been killing for longer than just the seven or so months that we know about. He tells Deb he studied in France. Was he killing people over there, too? Is that why he's only recently showed up on the Miami homicide scene?
I'd also really, really, really like to know the specifics of what happened at that crime scene, period. If Harry hid it from Dex, you know it must have been horrific. Also, why wasn't Dex in the police report? And why wasn't Rudy, for that matter?
This is me just randomly asking things, bee tee dubs. There's no coherant line of thought here.
Also, what are/were Rudy's intentions for Dex? Did he want to kill him? Be killed by him? Did he want them to work together? Killing Deb would make sense, in that case. "Your foster sister is out of the way, I'm your real brother, let's go on a rampage across Florida!" It seems like it should be more than that. Does he want revenge against Dex? What for? Aside from possible familial connections, why is he stalking Dex and why his fixation on Dexter and Harry? Is there a particular reason why he's started to get sloppy with Angel, or was it just thrown in to further the plot/give Dex a way to uncover him?
SO MANY QUESTIONS!
I'm so sad that I don't know when I'm going to get a chance to watch the finale. I mean, unless I randomly end up somewhere with Showtime on Sunday, I'm going to have to wait to DL. But I have to work at ten the next morning, so I can't stay up all night. Either I have to get up at like, seven-thirty, DL it, watch it, and then go to work for nine hours or I have to wait until seven pm when I get home and DL it to watch then. I want to see it Sunday at ten like all the lucky people who have Showtime! It's not fair!
Also, all the Dexter icons I was going to upload are on my other computer. Now I have to go find them all again. ::grumble::

Sleep now. Advent tomorrow morning. Surprisingly enough, it IS about Dan. Sort of. And Chanukkah. And Alan being nosy. And Dan wanting some naked time without Alan hanging around. Alan's such a cock block sometimes.
