Broken and Mended
Kisumai - Senga/Fujigaya
1108 words, PG-13 (slight R for certain ones), smatterings of AU and canonfic
So I started this.. eghads, ages ago. XD but like always, it got piled in the WIPs, and then I burned out, but I figured this would be an easy thing to finish. It was a lot of fun, though it's SO hard to try and fit things in one sentence and I'm sure I flubbed on grammar. Surprisingly not as much AU as I expected.
(I would also like to clarify that the last two are not related to each other at all D8!)
#01 - Walking
The trip back to Fujigaya’s place felt so much more difficult, the way he and Senga were drunk and stumbling, trying to steal kisses in the dark.
#02 - Waltz
“I don’t usually do these kinds of dances,” Senga apologized as he trod on Fujigaya’s foot.
#03 - Wishes
Pointing up at the sky in excitement, Senga exclaimed, “Look, a shooting star, Tai-” right as Fujigaya kissed him.
#04 - Wonder
“I can see everything you can’t, Gaya, and you amaze me.”
#05 - Worry
Fujigaya paced back and forth, checking his phone as he muttered, “He should have been here thirty minutes ago, he should have been here thirty minutes ago.”
#06 - Whimsy
Senga knew from the moment Fujigaya danced into his life that he was going to get his heart broken.
#07 - Waste/Wasteland
“I used to love this place,” Fujigaya said as he guided the team down into the ruined valley, “but that was before they took him away from me.”
#08 - Whiskey and rum
They always ordered different drinks, but Senga liked how his glass looked next to Fujigaya’s, side by side at the bar.
#09 - War
They stare at each other, heated and angry, waiting for someone to break and back down, but neither of them willing to be the one.
#10 - Weddings
Senga curled an arm around Fujigaya’s waist, whispering ‘I do, I do’ as the danced to a song that was their very own.
#11 - Birthday
Fujigaya shows up at 12:05AM on Senga’s 20th birthday with a present of strawberry flavored vodka.
#12 - Blessing
“Go. May the gods be with you,” Fujigaya said before he pressed his lips to Senga’s forehead.
#13 - Bias
“Wataru’s my favorite!” Fujigaya laughed, and Senga felt his stomach twist as he turned back to Nikaido.
#14 - Burning
Senga held the cocktail up for Fujigaya to light before launching it at the place they’d once called home.
#15 - Breathing
Fujigaya loved these moments, when he could just curl up next to Senga and watch him sleep.
#16 - Breaking
Without Senga to ground him, Fujigaya was losing his grip on reality, no matter how hard he dug his fingertips into his bloody palms.
#17 - Belief
“I knew you’d never stay,” Senga said, bitterly.
#18 - Balloon
There were a dozen balloons waiting for Senga when he got to work with a small note attached: Thought you’d like these more than flowers ♥ TF
#19 - Balcony
Fujigaya stands below Senga’s balcony with an armful of rope, grinning up like he’s got the best idea of how to spend the night together.
#20 - Bane
“Don’t touch the perm,” Senga warned the moment Fujigaya walked into the dressing room.
#21 - Quiet
Days like these were nice, when Fujigaya had a book to read and Senga was trying out yoga.
#22 - Quirks
“You could just say you hate it instead of pretending to like it while wrinkling your nose,” Senga said with a wry smile.
#23 - Question
Fujigaya looked down at their hands for a moment, uncertainty filling his voice as he said “I wasn’t sure if you’d give me another chance.”
#24 - Quarrel
“Just shut up and listen to me for once because I don’t want you to screw yourself over like you have been for the past five or six guys,” Senga hissed, trapping Fujigaya’s wrists against the wall in a last-ditch effort to keep him there.
#25 - Quitting
“This is the last one,” Fujigaya promised, leaning over for Senga to light the last cigarette.
#26 - Jump
“One more to go and then we’re rich and famous, baby,” Fujigaya crowed as he and Senga leaped across Tokyo’s skyline.
#27 - Jester
“You don’t need to fake those smiles for me, Taisuke.”
#28 - Jousting
“A token of the fair one’s love,” Nikaido joked, jabbing Senga with an elbow as Fujigaya’s manservant scurried away.
#29 - Jewel
“It’s going to be the two of us forever,” five year old Fujigaya declared as he handed Senga a cracker-box ring.
#30 - Just
“How about this,” Senga said, slowly plucking the phone from Fujigaya’s hand and setting it down on the table, leaning in closer to whisper against Fujigaya’s soft skin, “how about you and I lock the doors, ditch the phones, and spend the next twelve hours in my bed?”
#31 - Smirk
Fujigaya laughed, compliant as Senga pushed him down on the couch, because it was just what he’d wanted.
#32 - Sorrow
“They’ll always tell you that Supernovas are the most dangerous among us, but they’re wrong, because they don’t understand that… that Supernovas are the most beautiful of us all,” Senga told the class fresh from the Nebula.
#33 - Stupidity
“You made out with a giraffe, how is a gorilla any diff-- Ow!”
#34 - Serenade
“Love you with all my heart,” Fujigaya sang, raw, exposed, and Senga tried not to notice how his eyes glistened in the spotlights.
#35 - Sarcasm
“No, I just said I liked you for kicks, Kento, because I totally do that all the time.”
#36 - Sordid
It’s all in the way Senga yanks his hair, twisting and pinning him down as he fucks him just the way he wants to.
#37 - Soliloquy
“What, you’re going to cry because he found out you were lying?” Fujigaya mocks himself in the mirror.
#38 - Sojourn
“Stay here, Taisuke, to rest and recover,” Senga entreated the injured Firefly.
#39 - Share
“Nika and I have been talking a lot about you,” Senga mouthed against Fujigaya’s neck, feeling the other melt against him.
#40 - Solitary
“He shouldn’t have been alone in the first place,” Fujigaya shouted, trying to get his way back into the infirmary.
#41 - Nowhere
Fujigaya’s eyes were empty and hollow, and that scared Senga more than the blood on his hands.
#42 - Neutral
“I’m staying out of this,” Senga said, the moment Fujigaya and Nikaido rounded on each other.
#43 - Nuance
“When you say ‘fine’ do you mean that you really are, or do you mean the other thing, where you’re not okay at all,” Senga asked, feeling Fujigaya twitch at his side.
#44 - Near
This was a nice way to sleep, with Fujigaya spooned against his back, pressed so close Senga could feel his heartbeat.
#45 - Natural
This is how it always should have been - the twelve of them standing side by side by side by side, with Fujigaya’s fingers twining around Senga’s as he beamed at the crowd.

“Dawn’s approaching!” Senga yelled from the lookout, signaling their pilot, Fujigaya, into a dive.
#47 - Valiant
“I’ll protect him with my life and my last breath,” Senga vowed, standing between the necromancers and Fujigaya’s unconscious body.
#48 - Virtuous
“Stop, you can’t do this, you’re a kid!” Fujigaya exclaimed in horror, scrambling away from Senga’s clever fingers.
#49 - Victory
“He’s mine,” Senga said proudly, holding up Fujigaya’s hand so they could all see the matching rings.
#50 - Defeat
Fujigaya stops at the door, biting his lip in regret, but they had both known this couldn’t have lasted forever.
