[Snibble] Summer Magic

236w; G - ... Mostly this just makes no sense (so disjointed, what) but I wrote it for Pips a while ago and figured it could go here instead of just sitting in my WIP folder. 8D! Though it will eventually turn into something so I can EXPLAIN WHY YAMARYO CAN BECOME INVISIBLE. lol. ;;
The first round of surprise came when Yara turned around and Ryouta only just barely managed to duck around the corner of a building, his own silhouette blending in momentarily with brick as he hid. Stupid, he scolded himself, peeking through the building’s interior at where Yara was still looking around curiously.
He was sniffing the air, and Ryouta realized his mistake. It wasn’t his fault Tatsumi had given him tropical splash body spray from his last trip to Kyoto. (It was, of course, his fault for wearing it, but he hadn’t thought Yara would be able to smell that.)
He waited for Yara to start humming and walk away before he carefully slipped from his hiding place, becoming visible again and watching his back with a small sigh.

“You kinda smell like coconuts,” Yara commented a day or so later, leaning over to sniff at Ryouta’s hair. Ryouta squeaked for a moment, ducking away and earning a protest, “Hey, hey, I wasn’t done!”
The rest of THEY watched in amusement. “Yaracchi, you’re so not cool,” Ryu told him impudently, but Yara wasn’t really paying attention, holding Ryouta in place and giving him one last good sniff.
“It just smelled kinda familiar,” Yara said, shrugging and turning back to the rest of the group.
Hiding a small smile, Ryouta smoothed a hand through his hair. “Maybe it’s just summer magic,” he murmured, unheard by all.
