Title: Ocean Breathes Salty
Rating: PG
Author's notes: Inspired by mermaid/kappa mythology, sort of.
Daiki’s recklessness had gotten the best of him. When he’d seen the boy playing in the water, he’d only wanted to join in on the fun. He hadn’t been expected to be met with eyes painted with starlight and soon trapped among waves where the ocean breathed salty, held steady by the mysterious boy.
“Relax~,” the boy laughed infectiously, almost for Daiki, who wanted to join in but couldn’t quite - his teeth were beginning to chatter. “You’re much too fun to kill, ne.”
The voice sounded chilling, but Daiki’s gaze met those eyes again and he realized he was safe.
Theme: Summer Festival
Title: Star-crossed Lovers
Rating: PG
Author's notes: AU - This works with the prompt, I swear. Roundaboutly to do with the basis of the
Tanabata festival “I wouldn’t say seeing you once a year is much consolation,” Takaki said. “Surely the stars in the sky are worth much more than this.”
“It’s okay,” Daiki replied cheerfully, his smile sharp. “I missed you too.” Ass.
They glowered at each other for a moment before Takaki softened, holding out his hand entreatingly. “I’m sorry.”
“We can go back to the sky if you’d rather, idiot,” Daiki replied gruffly, not looking as their fingers twined together.
Takaki bit back a smile and the air around them glowed with affection. “I stayed here, didn’t I?” he asked softly, squeezing gently.

Title: The Flash of Lights.
Rating: PG
Author's notes: I give you
this. It’s related, I swear.
The blood that pulsed through their veins was laced with adrenaline.
Daiki knew the ending was going to come crashing down on them as they raced through the stage and audience, trying to snatch a bit more spotlight.
Later on, when Takaki was still drunk on glamour and hopelessly wound up in Daiki’s arms; smile, lips, and everything else all pressed up against his chest as laughter bubbled in the air.
“I feel like I ran around the world. It was great, you were still with me.”
Daiki laughed, leaning down to kiss Takaki, if only to shut him up.
