littlemelonblueMostly trying to get this written before Christmas Eve because I don't want to say that I ignored facts. (Hasn't happened yet, go me. 8D)
And since JUMP has concerts on christmas and the day after, I imagine that they'd be in Nagoya the day before to do stage rundowns or something. EDIT: Totally forgot about MSSL. *editeditedits*
Also, Kobayashi = their manager. Idk, I wanted to give them a name, even if I don't even know anything about them.
When the schedule was finalized, Takaki felt his heart plummet when he saw the dates. December 25th and 26th, Gaishi Hall; Nagoya.
He'd known it was possible, but he had been hoping for some miracle to happen. No such luck. As their manager started wrapping things up, Takaki tried to just smile and laugh, wanting to look excited about the concert tour. And really, the tour was exciting... He just hated the idea of being away from his family during Christmas.
A hand slipped in to his and squeezed gently. Though he couldn't bring himself to look Yabu in the eye, he knew Yabu was smiling. More importantly, he knew Yabu understood most of the thoughts flitting through his head. Giving a squeeze back, Takaki nodded at his shoes. He could deal with this.
Across the room, Keito felt rather nonplussed. He loved his dad, but he actually preferred the idea of spending time with his bandmates and friends. It wasn't so bad, really.
“Ne~,” Chinen spoke up at his side, enthusiastically tugging at any sleeves in his reach. “You know what we should do~! We should do secret santas!”
“I second this,” Daiki popped up, grinning effusively. The cheer was infectious as they started hatching plans amongst themselves.
“Yo, Kouta!” Hikaru's head popped up out of the huddle, eyeing his best friend and Takaki. “You guys, get your butts over here.”
Once they were all circled around, Chinen went on, happily taking charge while he could. “So we're going to be in Nagoya... and Kobayashi-san mentioned there was going to be some sort of holiday party going on the day after Christmas... but let's do something special together for Christmas, ne? Secret santas! And maybe some other stuff.”
Yabu smiled, ruffling Chinen's hair. “I approveeeeee, let's do this.”
Inoo was already rummaging around his bag, producing a pen and a piece of paper, which was quickly torn into ten pieces. Scrawling all of their names onto the paper, Inoo folded them up, handing them to Yabu. “There you go.”
There were benefits from having at least one singularly efficient person in the group, Yabu thought idly as he stole Takaki's fedora. Dumping the slips of paper in, he held it out. “Youngest to oldest~!”
“Heh,” Ryutarou grinned contentedly as he jammed his hand in, shuffling the papers around before extracting one, scampering away to his own corner to read the name. Chinen skipped up to take his place and one by one they pulled their secret santa out of the hat, retreating to their own spot to begin plotting.
Takaki was last, scraping the last two papers out, tossing one at Yabu before reclaiming his hat. “A please never hurt you.”
Grinning crookedly, Yabu kissed his cheek. “No, but this didn't either.”

Yuto crammed his legs underneath him on one end of the couch, staring down at the small piece of paper, his heart pounding. While he knew the likes and dislikes of his bandmates well enough, he also had what his mother called holiday paranoia, where he worried about everyone getting just the right gift. Birthdays were almost as bad, but this was Christmas and that somehow made it the most horrifying of all.
Smoothing the paper out, Yuto felt his mouth go dry.
Of all the nine possibilities, he'd gotten this: Yamada Ryousuke
A part of him cheered while another part shrieked in utter panic. This was Yamada Ryousuke. This was his friend and crush of nearly four years. Four years on Christmas Day to be exact, he reminded himself, biting his lip as he stared down at the paper, not quite blushing, but feeling all too warm.
What was he possibly going to get Yamada?
He glanced around himself, his eyes resting on the far corner where Yamada sat, fiddling at his phone while looking down at his own secret santa. He wondered who Yamada had and what he was going to give them before returning to his own problem.
It was Yamada. Whatever gift this was going to be, it was going to be perfect.
*
Yamada had nearly fainted with relief upon seeing the name Takaki Yuya on the slip of paper he'd chosen. He'd been afraid of getting someone more intimidating like Yabu or Inoo, but it was Takaki. Yamada had it easy. He relaxed, making a mental list as he texted Shida.
Takaki wasn't a picky person. Yamada was sure he could find a decent gift.
*
He wasn't the only one who'd gotten it easy. In another nook, Yabu was grinning to himself. Nakajima Yuto. It was going to be a piece of cake.
*
Chinen was already drafting plans for what to get one Inoo Kei, humming to himself in his own corner, a small smirk playing on his lips.
*
Ryutarou, on the other hand, was not so thrilled with his name. Okamoto Keito.
He frowned at the name in consternation, muttering under his breath. It wasn't that he didn't like Keito, he did. But what did the other boy even want for Christmas?
He looked around the room, avoiding eyes but trying to surreptitiously sneak a peek at the other boy, without making it obvious that he was looking.
Curses to Keito for being so unassuming with his wants, Ryutarou thought in irritation before hunching over his DS. He'd think about it.
Tomorrow.
*
Yuto was still fidgeting, his mind a whirl of what now, what now, what now? and oh god, what if I get the wrong thing? What if he hates me!?
Yuto had to remind himself that they were now nearly eighteen and Yamada hadn't yelled that he hated Yuto since Yuto shoot up two feet.
*
Hikaru couldn't help but feel like he'd hit the jackpot. Chinen Yuuri opened up so many possibilities, he could barely concentrate on one idea or another. Chinen was short, evil, and... well, short. Cute, if Hikaru needed to extend himself that much.
But he didn't really need to. Cute wasn't what he was aiming for.
*
Inoo shared similar thoughts with Hikaru. Only Arioka Daiki wasn't anywhere near evil.
So maybe cute was what he was aiming for.
(Or maybe just short.)
*
After Kobayashi released them for the day, Yabu gathered them all back up. “Okay guys, we're going to work hard for these concerts, okay?”
“Super, super hard,” Chinen chirped, swaying as he wrapped his arms around Takaki's middle.
“Try to keep your secret santas a... well, secret, okay?” Yabu looked around at them all before clapping his hands. “Alright, guys, see you tomorrow. Chinen, if you would kindly unhand my boyfriend, I'd like to muss up his hair before we leave.”
Upon hearing that, everyone else broke, dashing away with shrieks of cooties and unsafe work habits.
Yabu just smiled as he reeled his boyfriend in and tried to kiss all his worries away.

A/N: I really wouldn't call this a multi-chapter fic but it just felt right to split it up into three pieces. ANYWAYS. Derp. x: Ten boys is harrrd.
