Written for that rare pair meme forever ago...XD Idk, I created this pair, I still love it. (Even if Shoon's gone...)

At first, Shoon had been taken aback when Takaki had texted him, blinking in surprise at the text that really could have been from a girl. It was so bright and happy and bubbly.

Which brought out the second emotion in Shoon. Disgust. Honestly, what the hell was Takaki Yuya doing texting him? They weren't close, they didn't know each other well, and lastly, Shoon did not like Takaki Yuya.

There were reasons for that and anyone in their right mind would have known that already. Takaki just seemed to be so stupid that he hadn't figured it out yet.

Growling in annoyance, Shoon deleted the text before he chucked his phone away from him, rolling over and ignoring it.

~*~*~

“Shoon-kun~!” Shoon heard the happy squeal before he saw the boy and he flinched as he turned around, quickly plastering a smile on his face.

“Oh, hey...Takaki-kun.” He mumbled. The irritation immediately welled up within him. Takaki had no right to be so damn happy right now, beaming at him without a care in the world. But he wasn't a jerk, so he tried to be polite.

Takaki spazzed at him for a few moments, talking about how he'd been watching some of Shoon's older stuff and how cool he was and how it was so cool to see him again.

It would have been flattering, but Shoon just couldn't bring himself to feel anything but disdain.

“That's great.” He gritted his teeth, flashed a smile, and hopped on Kawai, leaving Takaki behind looking slightly bewildered.

~*~*~

Shoon thought that Takaki could take a hint...but apparently not. He couldn't get rid of the guy! Just short of being rude, Shoon had tried everything. Takaki just wouldn't get it. He occasionally texted and called and sometimes he showed up to talk to Shoon. Shoon was running out of ways to get rid of him.

He couldn't even rant at Yabu and Hikaru about how annoying it was, because...Well, Takaki wasn't being mean or rude or anything. He was just trying to befriend Shoon and that was something Shoon did not want at all!

He supposed it was childish, being so stubborn and pushing Takaki away like this.

It wasn't like Takaki was bad or anything...Shoon just didn't want to have anything to do with him. There was too much shit to get over for that.

~*~*~

“Takaki Yuya!” He slammed his textbook down and glared at the startled boy in front of him. He was beyond being reasonable by now. It was just infuriating how innocently unaware Takaki was of everything. Why didn't he get it like the rest of JUMP that he wanted nothing, absolutely nothing to do with him.

“Get away from me.” He snarled. “Okay? You're just a fucking little brat and I don't want you near me. Okay? I hate you!” He didn't even know what he was doing anymore, just lashing out at Takaki with everything bottled inside.

“Everything I hear from Kouta and Hika. 'Yuuyan, Yuuyan, Yuuyan'.” Shoon kept on going. “You fucking took them away from me and not just that, but you took Taiyou away from me too.” He was more pained then angry, but it was all too jumbled up to sort out.

“You're just a stupid little brat who can't sing, dance, and can't even act.” He scoffed, stamping around to gather his stuff up, not even looking at Takaki as he went on. “You weren't even here long enough. Who knows why you REALLY got in JUMP in the first place.” He spat out, knowing it was stupid to imply anything but not caring what damage he was causing. He wanted Takaki to feel this, to know what he had done to him.

Finally he was out of things to say and he cut his eyes to the other.

He should have felt victorious to see tears slipping down Takaki's cheeks, should have felt relieved to release everything inside and let Takaki know how he felt. Should have felt like a winner to crush him like this.

But he didn't.

Takaki stood there, crying silently, just looking at him, looking so hurt, it was almost heart breaking. There was silence for several moments and then Takaki...bowed. Bowed to Shoon.

“I'm s-sorry...” The younger boy whispered before fleeing. Shoon watched him rush out and bit his lip.

Instead of feeling anything good inside, he just felt like one big pile of filth.

Sighing in frustration, he stuffed all the books into the bag and headed out to find Reon.

~*~*~

Takaki Yuya disappeared from his life. No texts, or calls, or random pop ins. Shoon felt...suddenly empty. He'd accomplished the one thing he'd wanted and now he hated himself for it.

It was his own fault, really...and everything he'd said to Takaki was bullshit. Who was he to question Takaki's talents, Takaki worked just has hard as he did, even if he hadn't been a Junior for nearly as long. Who was he to accuse Takaki of ruining his group when Takaki had been just as surprised at every one else when it formed?

And of course...there were the other comments he'd made, but he didn't even want to think about those.

He didn't even know what to do about it. How was he going to face Takaki after exploding on him like that? He didn't even want to ask Yabu or Hikaru about it because that would mean admitting to them what he'd done. If they hadn't known already. Who knew what Takaki had said about him?

Finally he worked up the nerves to stick his head in JUMP's chaotic dressing room, trying to block out everyone but his friends once he noticed that Takaki wasn't in the room. What could that mean? “Ah...Kouta!” He called out, crooking a finger at Yabu. “Come here, will ya?”

When he had Yabu out of the room, he chewed on his lip. “Do you know where Takaki-kun is?”

Yabu blinked at him for a moment. “Takaki? Yuuyan~?” Shoon gritted his teeth and nodded. “Why do you want him?”

“He...ah, left something in our dressing room the last time I saw him.” Shoon lied quickly. “I thought I'd return it.”

“Do you want to just give it to me and I'll give it to him when he gets back?” Yabu asked. “He went over to talk to Tamamori-kun.”

“No, no, that's fine!” Shoon quickly said, already moving down the hallway. “I'll just see if he's still there.” Why he was doing this, he really didn't know. He just knew he wouldn't feel right until he saw Takaki again.

~*~*~

Cornering Takaki was easier said then done. The boy that he'd tried so hard to get rid of eluded him for three days. But Shoon did corner him. Seeing Takaki flinch away from him simply made Shoon feel worse and he knew Takaki was freaking out from how tense he was.

...Well, okay, he had good reasons. Shoon had just pinned him to the wall. But he had to! Takaki wouldn't stand still if given the option of running away. So Shoon had taken that option away.

“Takaki...Takaki!” Shoon tried to get the boy to look at him. “Takaki....I'm not trying to hurt you....” He'd already done plenty of that. “I want...I wanted to say sorry.”

Takaki stopped struggling and he melted against the wall, as if giving up on everything, but he still wouldn't look at Shoon.

“I'm sorry for saying all of that to you...I'm sorry.” Shoon whispered, looking down at his face, most of which was covered by blond brown hair. “I'm such an asshole, I'm so sorry.” He pulled Takaki's limp body into a hug, wishing with all his heart that he could undo the damage.

“I just...I just wanted....” Takaki whispered and Shoon held him tighter, hearing the tears in his voice. “I just wanted to be your friend.”

~*~*~

It took weeks, months for them to become actual friends. Shoon slowly let go of all his pain and resentment, watching as Takaki slowly opened up to him as well. He should have known, should have realized all the problems and pain the other had, that it was just as bad, if not worse then what he was going through. He should have known.

He knew better know and he just couldn't help but want to hold Takaki close, never let him go.

The first time he said 'I love you' was scary as hell...but he knew Takaki was just as scared as he was, so he said it first.

The next time was easier. The one after that, even more.

Soon they got comfortable with this strange....well, relationship. Shoon wasn't sure what to think of it anymore. He was there for Takaki when he could be. Takaki was his bright star in the sky. They probably didn't need each other so desperately, not like some of the people around them. But they cared for each other, loved each other. For Shoon, that was more then good enough.

He lay awake one night, cradling Takaki in his arms. The boy had long since fallen asleep, but Shoon couldn't help but watch him. He was so relaxed and peaceful when he slept, Shoon just wanted to savor those moments. Wanted to hold on to when Takaki wasn't about to fall apart or cry or anything like that.

So precious, he just held him and watched, eventually falling asleep as well, comforted by the fact that Takaki would be there when he awoke.
