bakemonokun Tsuyoshi could be such an idiot. There were no other words that Koichi found to explain him properly. He just was....dumb. Oh, he was plenty of other things, talented, kind, hard working. Actually, over-hard working, if that was a word. It was definitely possible, so it deserved a word, he decided.
He could feel him twitching next to him and wanted to smack him over the head. It was impossible to sleep, knowing that Tsuyoshi was still awake beside him, never mind that he was moving all the time.
Tsuyoshi had those moments in life when even Koichi could tell that he needed a hammer over the head or drugs, because his mind was so chocked full of thoughts and words and feelings, he had no room to fall asleep. He was running on who-knew-what in a bottle and Koichi was pretty sure he hadn't managed to catch any sleep since the day before.
The car ride was getting unbearable. He could almost hear the buzz of Tsuyoshi's mind and it was driving him mad. Usually he could sleep when they traveled. He'd just pass out the moment the engine started and wake up when the car stopped. But it was impossible to sleep when Tsuyoshi was being so restless.
He slumped there, as if he was trying to absorb the man's stress. The way his body was still tensed, despite being seated for some time now. The way it throbbed with over exhaustion and overworking and yet his mind was still pushing through it all to find something new. He was admiring of this all even as he was ready to bean the other over the head.
He cracked an eye open, sliding his gaze over to the other. The man was completely engrossed in his own thoughts, his eyes glazed, only partially focused on a napkin that looked as if the ink was dissolving it. His hair was a mess, though that was fine, they were in a car, and he was chewing on a pen cap, the corresponding pen tapping out a beat-less rhythm.
With a sigh, Koichi reached out to snatch up the pen and then pull the pen cap out of Tsuyoshi's mouth. He pulled the other's head gently to his shoulder, ruffling his hair lightly. “Go to sleep already.” He murmured, trying to not sound completely exasperated. It wasn't like it was really Tsuyoshi's fault. Insomnia was a pretty name for an ugly curse.
Tsuyoshi seemed to want to protest this and mumbled something mostly unintelligible under his breath, still refusing to stop moving. Koichi grunted in annoyance and moved to secure the other's head against his shoulder, resting his cheek and letting his eyes close. “You're keeping me up.” He pointed out, sighing with relief, as well as exhaustion. Tsuyoshi might be able to pull off these little all nighters and pretend he was okay, but Koichi desperately needed sleep to function as even just a semi-decent human being, let alone one that could sing, dance, or smile.
He could practically feel Tsuyoshi's brain and body fighting against it all and he rolled his eyes. “Hurry up and sleep.” Tsuyoshi really needed to rest, not just his body, but his mind as well. Hopefully a nap would help clear up all the mumbo-jumbo. “I'll wake you when we get there.” He promised.
Moments later, Tsuyoshi finally began relaxing on him, melting down, slowing to a halt. It was as if someone had cut the strings of a puppet and Koichi could only feel a strange sort of tired jubilation. Finally.
With Tsuyoshi finally stilled, his own eyes fell shut and he was allowed to drift away, slowly slipping off to a world of mindless, thoughtless dreams, until a whisper brought him crawling back to reality. “But how will you wake me if we're both asleep.” Tsuyoshi asked quietly, sounding more amused then anything else, except maybe tired and mostly asleep.
Koichi snorted softly, nuzzling Tsuyoshi's hair. “I love you.” He whispered, though even to his own ears it sounded like he'd said 'You're an idiot'. Oh well...to Koichi, both phrases meant the same thing right now. He waited until he was sure that Tsuyoshi was asleep and then let his own mind sink into the blank comfort that was a dreamless sleep.

A/N: Mwahaha, remix was fun, but omg, remixing Kinki was so nerve-wracking. I know nothing of Kinki so it was like 'WHAT IF I MURDER KOICHI'S CHARACTER?' *spazzflaildie* but it seems to have turned out rather well.
