Re: Ranma 1/2 anonymous October 28 2010, 21:31:55 UTC
An exotic looking girl jumps from fencepost to fencepost, ignoring the perfectly good sidewalk, before performing a quadruple summersault to land in front of the boy in a fighting stance.

"Are you Ranma?"

"Who's asking?"

Taking this (and the martial arts aura radiating from his every pore like the stench from liquefied bananas) as a 'yes', the girl straightened up demurely.

"Your fiancé from a country you've never heard of. Your father sold me to our family for a glass of water. We would have given him the water for free, but he seemed very insistent. So, when are we getting married?"

"Is sexseptigamy legal in this country of yours?"

"What?"

"Find me a country where I can marry all sixty-seven of my fiancés simultaneously and then arrange for them to be locked in a pit full of cats, and I'm *there*. Oh no."

"What?" she asked. She looked where he was pointing, but all she could see was some random stranger carrying a bucket. She turned back to find her prey had escaped her. "That, that...arrgh. And why are you carrying a bucket, anyway?"

"Throwing buckets of water with your eyes closed is an honourable tradition in this town. That and fishponds. No-one knows why."

The bucket wielding townsman wondered off.

"And I came all this way to meet Ranma!"

"Me too!"

She swirled around to gape at the boy who had just landed next to her, also reeking of martial arts skills.

He continued, "I trekked through the Amazon rain forest, swam the river Ganges, and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to make this meeting, and he ran away."

The girl paused in respect. That was a far more arduous trip than her own, she had to admit - although she was having a little difficulty figuring out the route.

"Where did you start from?"

"Oh, about two blocks that way. Or was it that way?"

The girl took a deep breath, and then another.

"You know what? Never mind. I didn't want to own a martial arts school anyway. I'm going to Tokyo to join a rock band."
