Closes his eyes and sighs.

DC isn't what it used to be, it seems colder, grimmer, so much sadder than sunny California. Sam pulls the coat tighter around himself and sighs again. DC is a lot colder than he remembered and his joints have grown old.

This used to be the greatest place in the world, he thinks. But he doesn't believe it anymore, can't believe it no matter how much he tries to for Josh, for president Santos, for Julia.

This used to be his home and now he doesn't know left from right, doesn't know what to do and where to turn in this place that used to be a symbol of all that was right, all that he believed in.

Remembers eight years ago, the excitement and the anticipation. Knowing there are greater things to come, now he has to find his way around in a city he doesn't think he believes in.

Aww Saaaaaaaaaaaam :( I still think it's tragic how disillusioned he got. And this is so sad and achey and I just want to cuddle him!

Oh SAM. ::sniff:: Post S4 Sam-stories always just... break my heart. Because there's no way he's happy in the Santos White House and I just want to hug him forever D:
