Astonishingly, we accomplished a lot today, even though we were under the direction of Mr. Stroud "I know everything so you might as well quit" Stacy. I made a list of rule numbers for objections which will be made into two sets of cards: one to get evidence in, and one to keep it out. I am so glad that Melody introduced me to that idea last year. Jake's performance is coming along fairly well with open ended questions on cross being his only weakness.
Tomorrow night we are going to begin composing our opening and closing statements while the witnesses work on character and clarity. I am slighly worried by their collective lack of emotion: they are either totally sadistic and think nothing of Hilly's death, or they are just lousy actors. Either way, it will not fly at competition. I have a few exercises for them as well as a lecture on method acting vs. technical acting. Oh joy!
I think I need to push Arthur to object more often. He often lets evidence that shouldn't get in slide because he is afraid he might be wrong. I have a feeling that I am going to be throwing objection cards at Arthur and Jake throughout the entire competition. Melody, how did you manage to keep everyone in line last year?

Thespian Conference begins on February 3rd, and I am so excited! Since it will be my last time to attend, I plan to make the most out of it by attending as many workshops as I can... as well as scamming the MANWHORE by giving him a dose of his own medicine. Brooke, might I enlist your help? It will be fun! I wonder what the plays will be like this year. I doubt that anything can stack up to "Equus".

I suppose I had better get some sleep. I have an eight o'clock class. (Ewww.) I still need to find a coffee shop open that early in the morning. Instant sucks!
