Recently I mentioned that I'd be going to the Pete and Pete reunion show at the Orpheum with some friends. As it turned out I was able to bring my camera. Considering how close I was to the stage, and that I brought one of my better zoom lenses, I got some pretty good shots.
I had never been to any kind of reunion show before, so I wasn't sure what it was all about except that most of the cast would be there and Polaris would play the opening song "Hey Sandy". I'm a fan of Polaris first, The Adventures of Pete and Pete second mostly because I still listen to Polaris whereas I don't still watch Pete and Pete.
Anyway, it turned out to be an entertaining Q & A session with the main cast, director and writers and Polaris played all their songs (they only have the one album) after. Until then I had no idea that the band was only put together for the show, and technically this was their first live show. They were very good live, and I wish they would consider playing again.
I posted the photos up on Flickr and shared them on twitter, tagging as many of the cast and band I could find. Mark Mulcahy, the singer of Polaris, seemed to really like my photos so he retweeted the link and one of the photos. So that's epic.
Here's a photo collage.
