I don't understand rugby.

My brother joined the rugby team at his school. I have no clue why he did, but I agreed to be a supportive sister and come watch the game tomorrow. I'll be the first to admit, I don't know a darn thing about sports; the closest I get to enjoying sports was my many years of roller skating (oh how I miss you). Rugby, I know nothing about. My brother doesn't even fully understand it and yet he still tried explaining it to me. Best I can understand is its a mix of soccer (ball, kicking, goal), ballet (at some point its necessary for one player to pick up another to catch the ball o_O), curling up in the fetal position (when you get 'tackled' you're supposed to drop the ball and curl up on the ground) and sumo wrestling (while that player is curled up on the ground, others are shoving/grappling each other while yet another player is supposed to swoop in and nab the ball). Oh and there's a lack of padding for shins, knees, anything... just a mouth guard. It's pretty violent, from what I hear.

I guess I can only hope the game doesn't last too long, the weather is going to be cooler next week so I need to get done whatever costume work I can this weekend. I slapped paint on the two lower leg pieces today. There's still a long ways to go.
