Lesson learned, you take a gamble that something is going to be the right color when the ebay description is kinda murky, you get burned. (Why didn't I just email the seller ahead of time? Because that would have made sense!) I had ordered a motorcycle visor to use on the Bubblegum Crisis hard suit I'm working on and apparently mirrored/chrome doesn't mean its going to arrive looking silvery... it just means that its smoky gray and reflects everything? -_- I hope I can make it work since I really need the visor to be red and silver. I think I can spray paint the upper part with just a regular silver (and not worry about seeing through it)... I'm just a little screwed on the red part. I had bought a transparent red model car paint that I thought I could just spray over a silver visor... doesn't work so well if I don't have a silver part I can spray over and see through.
And a big boo hiss to the rain/wind today. How am I supposed to make a battle suit in this weather??
Last night was the first time I had ever seen turkeys fly. They get pretty good distance and height! It's sort of fun having a band of rogue turkeys living in the area.
