Since I registered for Neb-kon on Friday, I'm all "What shall I wear? What shall I wear?" Sure, it isn't until November... but it'd be nice to start work on it now, while the weather is nice. I plan to either resurrect Amy Sorel or Star Fox for the Friday of the con (I've already had one vote for Amy... and I always feel terrible about removing Fox's ears after I wear him for storage, so I'll probably wear Amy). The problem is Saturday's outfit. Since I haven't gotten my sewing machine fixed, I'm at the mercy of others to use machines. I have a BUNCH of various plastics sitting around... which means if I work hard, I could attempt another armor project... and it would cut down on the sewing.
Right now its a toss up between doing a steampunk (which oddly would probably be the most costly, since I don't have a set design and would need to buy materials for whatever I was making, plus I'd be giving up any chance of entering the masquerade), Iria (on the right in the image below) which I have most of the supplies for but keep wavering on my enthusiasm for, Nene from Bubblegum Crisis (top left; definitely the hardest out of the bunch, but most recognizable and would give the Iron Man who won the intermediate award last year a run for his money), or Drossel from Fireball (newest series out of the bunch but since it was a bunch of shorts for the Japanese Disney Channel, easily the least recognizable) whom I could have some fun posing as but the helm with its glowing eyes and ponytail like extensions out of her head being a big challenge (she does switch them out with other things in a couple episodes). I figure if I go as something unrecognizable, at least I'd be freakin impressive looking.
Or I could just do that Bubble Bobble costume I've always dreamed of. Kidding!
Or am I...
Mental note... must make an amigurumi of them.
