From time to time, I find myself craving old-fashioned board-games, somehow it just feels like the perfect way to hang out since you can both have a chat with your friends and kick their asses at the same time.
My latest game is one called "Neuroshima Hex", a rather simple, fast paced strategy game. The rather strange name can be explained by two things, the "Neuroshima"-part is there because the company who published this game also make a roleplaying game called Neuroshima, I have never come across it before since it is in Polish but from what I've heard it's a Terminator-esque sort of theme to it. The machines started a war and mankind lost.
The "Hex"-part of the game's name is there because the game board consists of hexagonal spaces.
Anyway, I'm really hoping to be able to put the game through its paces someday soon, I have a couple of friends who are pretty good at strategy games and I'd love to play it with them.
Apart from that game, I have a few others that I'd like to play again someday soon. I think I'll have to arrange a game-night when I have the time. Unfortunately I don't really know when that could be... Oh well, we all need some reason to look forward to our retirement.
