tom waits for no man

Excuse me while i get all music nerdy on you again, but Tom Waits released this 3 album set today (the three albums span most of his career):

"Each disc has its own subtitle: Brawlers for rock, Bawlers for ballads and Bastards for weirdness."
1. The first disc has the song Road To Peace, in which Waits gets all politixial and retells the story of the Palestinian Abdel Madi Shabneh, who killed 17 people as a suicide bomber in 2003. Tom Waits, with a dash of Topical Politics, distilled into a seven minute blues-rock song - i think my heads going to explode.

2. The second disc has Waits do a cover of Danny Says, originally by the Ramones. Which is really cool because The Ramones covered I Don't Wanna Grow Up off Bone Machine a while ago.

3. ... and the last disc has Waits' rendition of What Keeps Mankind Alive?, and some spoken word pieces, and and and, one of them is an excerpt from On The Road read by Mr. Waits himself.

so yes. i'd really sort of like to get this album. but it's freakin' $75 dollars or something.
