So this weekend was the wedding of Brendon(Elizabeth's brother) and his fiancee Kara. We went to high school with both of them and so obviously we knew everyone else in the bridal party. It truly was a Burnt Hills reunion. In addition to the people in the wedding who were from BH there was also multiple Burnt Hills graduates working as waitresses. So Friday night really started the wedding events. I went to the rehearsal dinner with my "fake" date Bobby who was also the best man. The rehearsal went rather well, fairly quick and easy. After the rehearsal we went straight to the banquet room for the rehearsal dinner and thank god cause I was starving. At the rehearsal dinner Elizabeth was the outcast bridesmaid cause she sat with me cause I was sitting with Bobby who was obviously sitting with all the other groomsmen. Oh well. Our table was definitely more fun than the bridesmaid table. Elizabeth also brought her cousin Matt to sit at our table who is 19. We made fun of him alot for not being able to drink. But then his mom of all people started giving him drinks. In addition to being able to drink at 19 his mom also doesn't care that he "dates" a stripper. Of course all the groomsmen thought that was a great thing as all the girls at the table laughed and didn't understand how that happened. Apparantly through the stripper he was invited to the Playboy mansion. Whose life is this??? But it was a good source of entertainment. We continued to drink at the open bar and left fairly drunk. We went back to the house where the drinking continued and Matt came over. Well very quickly Matt and I were the life of the party. Due partly to how loud we are...but the whole fam loved it and proceeded to make fun of us the whole next day for it.
I was fine though...it had just been a long time since I last drank and an even longer time since I had really hung out with Elizabeth. So I was definitely glad that she came home. The wedding went really well and Kara looked beautiful (in the dress that she bought from Allison), her veil did fall off during the ceremony but she just laughed about it and then they put in back in. No big deal. After the actual wedding Matt and I went back to the house to hang out with the fam and have some drinks before the reception. Why not, right? So we drank a bit and then headed off to the reception. We didn't really know how to get ther.e..but we figured it out. The party had already started when we got there so obviously we had to catch up. So Matt, Matt(Eliz's cousin) and I started eating food and having drinks. Even though Matt was 19 his mom still passed drinks to him. After about 45 minutes the doors opened and we got to go sit down. Apparantly the whole bridal party was drinking outside the reception room and getting fairly plastered while we did it in the other room. Well the food was good, there was lots more drinking and lots of dancing. Of course they did the cheesy dancing like the stomping one and the dollar dance, but oh well. We even made Matt dance with Kara during the dollar dance. We hung out with Katie Holly as well since none of the other people talked to us from Burnt Hills. Although Micah Weissman did...but she was only our waitress. After the wedding we all went up to Saratoga in the outfits we wore to the wedding. It was kinda funny cause there was another wedding party there and a couple bridal parties. None of the other bridesmaids showed up but thats cause they're stupid. It was almost just like being at school, I didn't buy any drinks and we met some random people who were a lot of random and fun. After a while in Saratoga we rememeber that we were supposed to go back to and pick up the other Matt to go out to the gay club. Well apparantly if we had been a couple more minutes later he woulda gone to sleep. So good thing we were almost on time. Elizabeth was too tired so she stayed home and Matt, Matt and I headed off to the club. We danced for a long time, saw Dan Murdock and left just about closing time. Obviously we had to go to Denny's afterwards, cause that's what Matt and I do late at night. Anyways the night ended just as the morning begun. Matt said that normally if it was Allison in the car that early she would cry about how early it was and how she had wasted her entire day. But I was happy to get home that late...it's always a sign of a good time.
