Marjorie (amanda's sister) tagged me to do this, so here:
Hexology of strange facts:
1. I ate a dead cockroach off the floor when I was 3.
2. I have ptosis, a condition which causes one of my eyelids to be constantly higher than the other.
3. I would prefer to sleep fully clothed than partially naked. A preference developed from years of staying up too late and only going to bed as a last resort... essentially passing out.
4. One of my first words was "monster." I used this to describe E.T. when I saw him in the theatre and on TV. Apparently "monster" was used by me to describe anything that looked funny but I couldn't otherwise identify. When we got a new cat, I called him "monster" too. My parents attempted to correct me by telling me he was a "kitty." This came out in my mind as an additional, rather than an exclusive, description of this animal so his name permanently became "Monster Kitty."
5. I got kicked out of above mentioned E.T. screening because I was running up and down the aisle throwing ice from my cup of soda (ostensibly at the screen), hitting other patrons. Why my mom didn't stop this I don't know.
6. When I was 6 years old, my dad was the live soundman for the band The Georgia Satellites (of "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" fame). When they went on their 1986-87 European tour, my mom and I joined my dad in England and toured around much of western Europe with them. My most vivid memory is of the zoo in Zurich, Switzerland. They fed the carnivorous animals "live" bunnies and chicks so feeding time was both horrifying and gory (but also kind of fascinating). The circle of life I guess...
