If Hitler had been right about his thousand year Reich and all that lot, what would the Nazis of the future be thinking to themselves by the year 2932? Would they defy this prophet and persevere with the whole thing even though he'd only given them one millennium, or would they go with what he said and try a bit of socialism of the non-national ( Read more... )

There would probably be a bunch of Communists sitting on the steps outside whatever government building they'd have at the time, limply waving their red flags, and as the Nazis vacated the building they'd hand over the keys and say something along the lines of, "All right lads, your turn." They'd probably get a thousand years of it before having to hand over to the religous nuts or some such group.

but you forget, the nazis would have exterminated the communists, along with just about everyone else.

I reckon they'd just assume he was using a thousand just as a big figure, and then would go on and on and on, probably beat a few people up, but otherwise not really care that much. Probably they would have 'surpassed the initial goal' or something Blairite.
