its been a long, quiet weekend and i've enjoyed the time to myself and the time with friends. i hung out with the boys again last night and they are such a great group. they make me laugh and don't hold any ridiculous standards that i have to live up to. its so nice to have people who understand me and my sense of humor.
today has been really relaxing. i got most of my homework done yesterday so i've been writing letters in the park, drinking orange juice and jet tea, enjoying the beautiful weather. and later i have all intention of taking a little nap, watching a movie, and having a delicious chicken caesar salad for dinner. that sounds like the perfect end to the labor day weekend.
i've been missing my friends a lot lately. even though i've been here for almost a month, it still feels so surreal. i dont feel like i'm in college, studying for my career. it doesn't seem like i'm really in washington. i just feel like this is some weird dream or a twisted field trip with people i don't know that well.
i've been working out every day at the gym and i'm loving it. swimming laps, running the track, and all kinds of random games of raquetball, volleyball, and basketball with cool rec center kids. intramural softball starts this week and i'm so excited!
i'm gonna get back to my homework. hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
