So, whilst taking a short break at work, I had a lot of fun with
these posts, today, over at
Shapely Prose and
Zuska's place. Then I spent a little bit of time explaining to a male co-worker what "mansplaining" is, who around the office does it, how sometimes he is the unwitting participant (as it's frequently us against the world on strategy, and sometimes the "them" in that equation will only pay attention when he says I'm actually right, and then the conversation about my idea goes on without me...)...etc. how it relates to and is frequently a subset of Assvice, etc.
anyways...
RIGHT AFTER THAT I was browsing around on
Jezebel, and saw this, which seemed like such a fabulous and horrible example of mansplaining that I could hardly stand it: T
he mansplaining stork. Really, y'all prolly don't need me to explicate, right? I'm gonna go eat some damned broccoli, in case my womb decides it's time to replicate without my knowledge.
(j/k! I'm having wine and emusic...my womb is currently unoccupied)
