This morning I woke up crying this morning, after having the craziest dream. I dreamt that I was at my grandma's house, my second cousin, Kirk was there, and my dad's cousin was in the kitchen cooking. My grandma was walking around the back patio with a friend talking.

In the dream there was a carnival ride that went through my grandma's house, for whatever reason, and I was riding it, and Kirk was operating the ride. I remember going around and around several times on this ride, that would take me throughout the house, and at one point my grandma came inside and was watching me. I looked at her and for some reason in the dream I knew she was going to die, and was wondering why I was wasting all those precious last moments riding a carnival ride when she was near death.

I hopped off the ride and went and gave her a hug, and she started having a heart attack, or something of that sort (which is not how she died in real life), and she started falling over, so I caught her in my arms, and helped her down so she could lay down, and she told me to tell everyone she loves them very much, and that she will miss them all, and then she died.

At this point my dad's cousin was still in the kitchen cooking, and my cousin Kirk was still operating the ride, and I was upset that no one was really paying attention, so I kicked a chair and my dad's cousin yelled at me for kicking it, and I woke up in tears.

I haven't had a dream as realistic as that was in years. It really scared me a lot. So much of it, even though a lot of the dream was silly (like the carnival ride through the house!!) was so much like how I felt at the time when my grandma passed away.

When I was young my step grandma died, and I had a dream about her not too long after her death. My mom told me that was their way of keeping in touch with you. When I woke up, and after I had dried my tears I felt like it was my job to make sure everyone knows how much my grandma loved them all, and that she is still a part of our lives.

Good news did come today though! My dad's cousin Mark called and told us that Alligator Point in Florida is not as bad as they originally thought, and we are still going!! There is no water and power in some of the houses, but we still have a week until we go, so hopefully it will be fixed.

Knowing I am going to Florida is so important to me, especially after the death of my grandma, I feel like our family has been sort of ripped apart, and I need to see every one. When my great aunt Mimi was here for the funeral, she mentioned something about having a little memorial in Florida, because so many people were unable to make it to the funeral. I am very happy about that, because she is really the single person who brought our family together, and kept our family reunions going for the past ten years.
