A few bloody notes
So I finally gave blood again today. It's been almost four months, largely because I got myself deferred for getting shot full of vitamin B12.
They've added some new questions to the screening test, and rearranged the order of questions. They ask about monkeys now: if you have worked with monkeys or their body fluids in the last 12 months, you're deferred. I wonder what's up with that?
Apparently the K-W clinic collects more units than any other in Ontario. Who knew?
Memo to me: giving blood an hour before you teach is not such a good idea, especially when you are being podcasted. Oy.
