So, I've been watching a few music videos. Yeah, I am a girl twelve or fifteen or in my mid-thirties. (Because YouTube is my bestest music friend.) And, I noticed in one or a few of the live videos that the lead singer will occasionally turn his back to the audience to sing towards the drummer. Oh, admit it, you've seen this in live shows. It happens.
So, I asked drummer William if this bothered him when he was performing.
"No," he said.
"Really," I asked.
"Yeah," he said, then, "Know what really bothers me."
"What?"
"Sometimes, one of the band members will come over to the drums and put their foot on my bass drum. They'll put their foot up there and, then, I'll think, 'Great, now, I'm going to have to clean my drums after this show.' There'll I'll be doing my thing," and here he demonstrates arms and wrists moving as though he is really performing, "and all the time, I'm thinking about having to wipe down that bass drum."
