Here are the salaries of those in the business school at UNC-Chapel Hill. I'd be the Fixed Term Associate Professor, more than likely, and closer to the high end, I'd hope

Contractual -- usually 3-5 year contracts, renewable.

That's correct. It's actually pretty common in business schools. For the prestige of Chapel Hill, about twice my annual salary, colleagues who do research and respect it, and a significantly reduced teaching load, it might be worth it.
