(no subject)
Was asked by my dept. chair to take his place at an upper management meeting/dinner this evening at the university with the provosts, deans, and chairs. Kinda cool. The Chancellor told us that she expects a significant raise this coming year for faculty, above and beyond what we've been getting for raises. Good news! Of course, if I'm at Chapel Hill, the raise will be meaningless, but then again I'll be getting more than twice my current salary there. Should hear about the Fulbright Fellowship and application to Chapel Hill within a week.
