I've gotten a part-time seasonal job at a fabric store. They interviewed me Saturday, and I had a great interview. The manager and I both sew medieval-style costumes, and both worked at another fabric store (now out of business). She asked me how many inches were in a yard, I immediately said "36". "Half a yard?" "18." Apparently not many store applicants know that! She called Monday and told me that I had the job. :D
I start orientation today, start the job Friday. It's part-time seasonal for now, but the manager told me it might go to a permanent job. Even if it doesn't, it's still three months of steady work, and I enjoy sewing. Things are definitely looking up now! :)
