Hi,
We've updated one of our tracks on myspace. Bassmaster has placed for your pleasure my very favorite recording of us covering the Pixies' "monkey gone to heaven". I'm proud to say that the hideous feeback at the beginning of the track is coming from my wailing drunken banjo. This recording was a "first and only" take (as nearly all our material is), and was single mic-recorded at our first practice following a few weeks hiatus in December. and I just love it, because it captures what our playing is all about. Btw, make sure and stick around for the whole track, it gets really good around 4:20. And I guess that's always a good time for things to get good,lol.
and while you are there, check out surf n smurf as well, our take on what surf rock really means, including some blistering work by Jim and Frank. Or if you're feeling irish, listen to our version of an old dead can dance song from back in the day, rich with the tenderness that only bass master J can give you. And of course, check out one of our originals in the making on Starcrossed Warp Drive! vroooooom!!!!!
