Most of you know that I volunteer at Halfway Home Pet Adoptions in KC, MO. Now that the dog volunteer program has taken hold, although we still need more help, I'm turning my attention to the neglected kitty program. I adopted my own kitties from Halfway Home around May and they have been such a surprising delight to me- someone who originally preferred dogs, but loved all animals (snakes and mice/rats too).
Here are MY boys- Jerry Lewis (L) and Dean Martin (R)
When I go into "Kitty City" at Halfway Home THIS (see below) is the guy who always comes to greet me. A gorgeous Russian Blue and he is so friendly, but not pushy in the least. Is anyone looking for love that purrs? THIS fella is a stand out! He's on death row now and I can't believe it! Emma is also on death row. I don't recall her personality, I'm sad to say, but if she wasn't adoptable she wouldn't have been kept alive so far in this high to moderate kill shelter.
Please pass on the word about these kitties in case someone you know is considering, but hasn't taken the step yet.
On their Pet Finder Profiles: "Smokey and Sunni were another pair of cats that were given up because their owners could no longer afford them. They are having a harder time adjusting to kennel life because they had been in a home for so long. Won't you provide that permanent, stable home they so desperately miss? They would be forever grateful!"
