Happy New Year!!
Sitting here in the recliner, just a bit tipsy on v.v. yummy Champagne. Julia is trying to stay awake until Midnight, so I let her pick the movie, with the understanding that I had veto powers. She chose Ghostbusters. I love this kid! I let her taste my Champagne and I told her that if she stayed awake until midnight she could have a glass. A "glass" in this case would equal about a swallow and a half. I remember the first New Year I stayed awake until midnight, and got to have a drink with my Parents. Then again, my Dad was always more than willing to let me taste whatever it was he was drinking. For the most part I never liked it, but I picked some very sweet bubbly, so no problem with J not liking it. :) She is, of course, terrified that I might go to Jail for it, but not so much that she doesn't want it. She's silly.
Side note....Julia completely ignored the line about "This man has no Dick," but she had to interrupt to ask me what a "Press Conference" was. lol
Well...Here's hoping that 2010 is better than 2009, but in my case, it almost has to be. I'm looking to get a good start on it anyway. I'm Ringing in the New Year just a bit Tipsy, with a good outlook on the future, and a New Year's Resolution to try to be more positive. If I start getting negative, my Friends are supposed to call me on it. My Boss informed me today that she is more than willing to help me be more positive if I promise to hit her with a two by four if she heads for the break room Snack Machine. LOL We're going to help each other out.
