looking for excuses to use my new icons and my new keyboard
Yes, it took me a while to actually use it, but thank you Eiley for the wonderful icon! ^_^
General News Updates (GNU - gnu! Ha! Now I need to find a cartoon of a wildebeest in a suit.)
1. Grad School
Still haven't heard anything, beyond a mix up at the U of NM - I accidentally put down Psychology on my online app instead of Anthro. Yea, smart one. Don't worry, it's fixed, but I just wonder if they'll notice that when the adcom gets together ;^^\ (PS Ingrid - my primate behavioral ecology textbook was written by a woman who was originally an anthropologist! These two fields really belong together!)
2. Work
The usual - flabbergasted by the utter lack of organization, gobsmacked at the amount of work it would take to truly sort everything out in that lab, determined enough to make a few small changes anyway, and alternately amused and frustrated by the various personalities I work with. When it comes to hospital administration, mostly frustrated. It's really terrifying how inept the people running things tend to be.

Messy, but happy :) Like I mentioned, I have a new keyboard! An apple one, nonetheless. It's tiny. It's thin. It's wireless. It's way quieter than my old keyboard whose clunking drove John crazy and was the main impetus for buying me this new one. And I love it. The only issues: no delete button, only backspace; the backspace is a little farther away than I'm used to, and the ctrl key is a little closer than I'm used to. But it's worth getting used to. I do love cute little machines. I am a dork, but I'm still a girly one.
