Memorial Service

CHARACTER(S): Anyone!
STATUS: Open to everyone.
SUMMARY: A memorial service is being held for those who've died on the ship.
LOCATION: The garden.
A portion of the garden was sectioned off from the rest for the memorial service. Already people were taking notice, staring at the black drapery over what was presumably a monument to honor the dead. Getting even more attention was the sight of several members of the Council congregating for the service. Seating was arranged for those who wished to take part in the paying of respect to those who died. The affair was to be less like a funeral and more like a wake, as evidenced by the long table of food stuffs along one side of the area. Yes, the Councilor of Portugal had arranged for it. This event should be a celebration of their lives. As such, she'd even arranged for champagne for the occasion. Flowers and candles were available for those mourners who wished such comforts.
