WELCOMING PARTY [OPEN TO ALL]
EVENT - WELCOMING PARTY
The Garden
The Garden was always a welcoming place, a place marked with stark contrast from the halls and rooms and technology of the rest of the ship, with all of the green and life and even the smells, much like that of gardens on Earth, as if part of the planet was carefully tucked away and then brought here, restoring a bit of what once was for everyone to appreciate.
Tonight, the council saw to it that the garden was decorated to reflect various cultures and marks in time through different sections - or at least, the ones that the Council was familiar with. There was a Chinese garden, French garden, Indo Persian garden, and a Colonial garden. All for variety, something to suit everyone's taste.
The finest organic foods were likewise procured and there was also a full-service bar available, sporting both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages alike.
Music was also playing, mostly classical but with a bit of a twist to it.
All nine members of the Council were in attendance tonight, both for their own enjoyment and to speak with anyone appropriately should someone wish to do so.
And with that, the Council saw it fit to open the gardens up to everyone, and any welcoming remarks would be left up to the crew.
This should truly be a night to remember.

-This post is planned to be open November 22-29, closing at midnight.
-This event will run in a series of sub-threads. You post a comment with your opening post here and define whether it is open or closed in the subject, and characters can reply accordingly. You can be in more than one sub-thread if you wish to have your character socialize about. Socializing is encouraged. This is one major reason why the Council is throwing this party.
-You can include links to what your character is wearing in your posts if you so desire. It isn't required, but if you like to give visuals, hey, that's awesome!
-EVERYONE is invited. EVERYONE. There will also be some NPC's floating about as well.
-Yes, you did read correctly. There is alcohol. NO milk products/anything coming from an animal however. If your character chooses to get drunk, they can do so, but if they become particularly unruly, Luke is one of our NPC's with an eye out. XD
-Please add your own tags as your character arrives.
-Also, if you have a date or someone your character is attending the party with, you can put their name in the subject lines if you so desire. And as I'd said in the OOC post before, that if you want a closed section at first - preparations before the party - then to open it up once they arrive, that is also perfectly cool with me..
-If you are not finished with a thread by the time the event closes, you can continue it in a new log, linking to the original content in the event and go from there!
