Watari spent more time in the lab than he did in his room or out among the rest of the population of Pluto IX. He enjoyed the quiet, the fact that he didn't have to beg for funding, and the occasional presence of his assistant, Birkin. 003 perched on his shoulder, as usual, while 001 and 002 observed one of the machines running behind him. Watari had careful notes to prepare on the efficiency of most of the new computer parts he'd appropriated when inserted into a miniature version of Meifu's supercomputer.
If he ever returned there, he wanted to use this new science and computer technology in the best way he knew how. The only way to do that was through hundreds of careful experiements and repetition to be sure that everything worked as he theorized it would.
Only 003 hooting to alert him to the presence of someone waiting at the lab doors distracted him. Watari stuck his pencil over his ear, stood up, pushed the button to let Hisoka in, and attempted to organize his notes quickly.
"Why are you here, bon? I thought you hated the labs." He grinned and let 003 fly over to Hisoka's head.
