If anyone thought Integral had any genuine concern for Jan, they were sorely mistaken. In fact, if the vile chav starved himself comatose, she would have been pleased. One less thorn in her side. However, she was concerned for the populace of the ship. A starved vampire wasn't something to which any of them needed to be subjected. It was concern for them that brought Integral to the door of Jan's cabin.
Her eyes closed and she drew in a breath. The very idea of giving a drop of her blood to this man made her stomach knot. At least Alucard had been something worthy of her noble blood. Seras had needed it. In a strange way, perhaps Jan did, too. In such a small population, a vampire would have to be much more cautious and reserved in its feedings. Her own words resounded in her head: because Alucard belonged to her, so too did Jan. No matter how poor the servant, Integral was above being a poor master. That thought brought her resolve back to the forefront of her mind. Her hand lifted and delivered three swift knocks to the door.
