First aid had been learned at a young age. In the slums, people got hurt quite frequently. There were no hospitals. There were no doctors. Rarely would anyone even attempt to help the injured; you cared for yourself. Of course the supplies was hard to come by and Katze had been well into his teens before he'd seen a bandaid on his own arm. It had seemed frivolous at the time...to be given an injection and have the microscopic hole in his skin be covered ( ... )

Muraki knows how to use his training for good and evil, although it seems like nobody on board has yet to find out what he did the other day. Musashi is still believed missing. He wonders who cleaned up after him, but doesn't dare ask a question that would draw suspicion to himself. Not yet, anyway.

When he hears footsteps, he turns around and gets a good look at the man. He wonders what that hair is covering, since he knows that his similar, mirrored style has a purpose beyond simple aesthetics. "I neglected to introduce myself earlier," he begins, voice deep and calm. "I'm Dr. Kazutaka Muraki."

Katze knows he's always been stuck somewhere in the middle. Too tall for a mongrel, too short for an Elite. Pretty enough to be a Furniture (or at least he was, once) but not pretty enough to be a Pet. Perhaps it was the fact that he was all together unremarkable that allowed him to function so well. People saw the scar and didn't ask questions.

The eunuch looks up, lips curving into a quick smile. "Katze," He replies simply. No last name; he's never had one. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Always with the manners. When someone was doing you a favor you could hardly risk being rude.

He smiles for a moment and runs slender fingers through the hair in his face long enough to give Katze a glimpse of the mismatched eye underneath it. Muraki's used to looks and questions about it, and he wouldn't have done that if his intent was something other than to see how curious the man in front of him is.

"Well, Katze, is there anything in particular you'd like me to show or explain to you? I don't know what experience you have with first aid or the like."
