He should have expected being called down for interrogation. He was close to Nathan and found the body in his room. The officers had every right to suspect that Peter might have done something even if they were brothers. Peter knew he was innocent though, and he hoped 26th century technology was not faulty or rigged. The last thing he wanted was to be put back in prison for crimes he did not commit.
It was bad enough being hauled off to restricted sections of the ship for testing. The labs were still under repairs from the recent attack, and the scientists were scurrying around the ship trying to find all the escaped test subjects. Peter couldn't escape with this damn thing around his neck.
It wasn't his year.
Two officers bound and blindfolded him before he was brought to the interrogation room. It was a small room with only a steel table, chair, and single ceiling lamp. The thugs told him there were cameras hidden in the walls watching his every move as they took off his blindfold. Peter was then forced into the chair and handcuffed to the table. The officers left and locked the door behind them, leaving Peter to sit uncomfortably, waiting for either the good cop or the bad cop.
