Clark was glad he had finally managed to get in to see Dr. Crane. Although he'd originally said he'd stop in a while ago, he'd never found an opportunity...and he'd figured there was no hurry. Clark didn't need help.

...well, he hadn't. Now he was all full of questions and puzzlement regarding his identity. He wasn't really a comic book character.

He stepped into the office and sheepishly greeted Frasier. "Hello."

Frasier stood up when the man entered the room. Wow, he really did look quite a bit like the character in the comics. He hadn't really been much of a comic-book person in his childhood, but he had known a few. Afterall, what kind of American kid didn't know who Superman was?

He knew that this man needed some severe help, if he were clinging on this badly. He had thought it was just a passing resemblance, but now he knew the full extent of the fascination. Dire.

"Ah, Mr..." he faltered, but returned to his smile after a moment. "Mr. Kent! Come on in!"

Clark smiled nervously, coming in all the way and taking a seat, back very straight. He adjusted his glasses a bit idly.

"I've never really done this kind of thing before." He admitted. He was ordinarily a very head-on-shoulders kind of guy, both feet planted firmly on the ground.

...well, technically, not always.

"But I suppose lately I've been..." He trailed off, shrugging, unsure of how to phrase what he meant.

Frasier nodded with understanding. "Out of your element?" he asked. He knew the feeling very well.

Afterall, he was certainly not exactly in a place that he would have ever even predicted, let alone it actually happening. It was like a dream, and he was the only sane one in the world.

Well, really, he was!
