Were it more well put together, there would probably be someone telling Flay not to go there, that they were taping... or something. As it was, though, none of that mattered. There was a sudden crashing as the absent-minded redhead tripped over something and fell forward quite spectacularly, landing on the ground with a loud thud and a groan.

"I'm okay!" he called, pushing himself up - well... sort of. As if to check to make sure his muscles were working properly, he hopped into a handstand position, performing what were most definitely pushups from that position. Upon repeating the action on one hand, he finally righted himself, nodding. Definitely fine. No breaks or sprains or anything, and... wait a minute. Where was he? What... why was there recording equipment here... that was running? "... Uh... hi?"

Billy slapped a hand over his face at the crash, and stood up suddenly.

"Excuse me! I happen to be filming the pilot for my own TV show. Not get the hell off the set!

"Hey, hey, calm down now! It's not so bad and it's not like I did it intentionally!" Flay stated, forcefully enough, all but waving his hand dismissively. "Besides, I was on my way to the media center and wasn't expecting recording equipment out of nowhere!" Incidentally, anyone who knew Flay and heard that he was looking for the media center would probably have laughed - but then, maybe he was looking for someone IN the media center.

Either way, it would quickly become obvious that the bulky redhead wasn't going anywhere. At least.. not without some persuasion. "Besides, aren't you supposed to like... have a crew or something?"

Billy snorted and leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest and glaring at the red head in front of his desk. This guy belonged in a side show!

"I'm a one man crew. Can't trust anyone around this ship to be anything useful. Now get out of here. I didn't ask for a circus act for my first show."

"Yeah, and I didn't ask for a show to be filmed right in front of the path to the media center." Flay replied, crossing his arms and very much not moving. Of course, he'd never met Bobby before. "So it does us both more good if we're to calm down and just let this be. Besides, if I were part of a circus act, I'd have to do something really extraordinary."

"It isn't in the path to the media center. It's at the far end of the media center where there isn't anything of interest to anyone, but me!" He glared at the man and resisted the urge to growl.

"I don't know about circus's where you're from. But generally, all the side show acts just look like freaks. And buddy, you take the gold prize there."

"... Yeah, yeah. Well, one of my buddies went missing, and he tends to go anywhere no one would think to go to find him." Flay replied, not even glaring. In fact, he looked downright pleased with himself.

"Bah, I'm not even a beastman! So I'm not that much of a freak." Should Flay be denying being a freak? ... It's likely. But that wouldn't be fun. With a hearty laugh, he shook his head. "You know, I have a training regiment that could help you get that temper in check. It would be fun!" finally, as if relenting, he did take... er... at least a few steps back. Maybe he'd just watch from the background. Billy seemed like an amusing subject to study!

Billy's temper was flaring. This man thought this was some big joke? So he'd come looking for a friend, so what? His friend wasn't here, obviously. No one came to this section of the media center. And Flay obviously had no idea what section they were even in. Which pissed Billy off even more. His hand sparked for a moment, but then Billy got an idea.

"You know, I do need entertainment on my show. I was just going to ask Haruko. After all she's relatively pretty, she's an alien, and she can play the bass. But for now, you'll do just fine." Billy's hand came up and an evil smirk appeared on his face. With a snap of his fingers, Flay was in a clowns costume... a female clown's costume.

... Well. That was certainly interesting. Never mind that the whole of Pluto was now seeing Flay in all his six-foot glory wearing a glorified minidress - oh, yes, apparently it was a couple of sizes too small. Ah, well. The dress wasn't cutting into anything important, and... hey, the cut wasn't TOO bad. ... Sure, it accented a few things people probably didn't really want to see, but that wasn't Flay's problem.

"Huh. So it seems like I was right. You are going to be fun to be around!" Flay mused, hardly even noticing the ridiculous hat hanging off his spikes as he twirled the laughably tiny pink and green umbrella a few times. "I think it'd be better with a mask, though." he murmured, nodding sagely.

Billy stared wide eyed at the man standing in front of him. At least the body was nice to look at. But he wasn't expecting the twirling the umbrella or this guy not to be pissed. So Billy groaned loudly and fell backwards, lounging down in his chair and glaring over the desk at Flay.

"What the hell do I have to do to get rid of you?"

"Oh, I'm not planning on interrupting or anything." Flay stated, shrugging and propping the umbrella on the floor, hand lightly on top of it. "I'm just watching - I mean, you've gotta have something ready, right? Especially if you're doing this all on your own." he mused, voice... still completely friendly. Then he grinned, and for a moment it would look almost downright evil.

"Althouuuuugh... if you really want to get rid of me, you could agree to become my student!"

"I have a teacher." He didn't, but Flat doesn't know that. "He's a great man, who's stronger than you'll ever be." He was also dead and not coming here ever. But Flay doesn't need to know that either. "Plus how is me agreeing to be your student going to make you leave? Wouldn't that just make you stay?"

"Oh? Then I guess I'll have to meet him! Maybe I'll challenge him! My Mana and I have been looking for a good, strong fighter..." Flay mused, laughing heartily again.

"Hm? Of course not! It just means you'd have to sign a teensy tiny contract and come meet me for your training." he replied. After all, he did generally leave Vayne alone, most of the time...

Christie has an uncanny sense of direction. What that really means is that she can get lost in her own house. If fact she has done so on many occasions. The fangirl was looking at the map for Pluto IX while riding her vespa to find Flay and Haruko.

"Is it a left at the next intersect or a right? I wish people would stop yelling. Haven't they seen a vespa before?" Unfortunately, reading a map while riding a vespa meant she wasn't watching the hallway.

All of a sudden, Christie ended up at the media center and heading straight for Flay. Luckily, the girl had mad fangirl convention dodging skills so she leapt clear of the vespa. Whether or not Flay avoided the vespa is uncertain to the girl.

"Oh hey!! This is where the show is being held! I made it Billy!" At the memory of Flay being in the room, the girl added, "I have your commission too Flay!"

TEMPORARY INTERJECTION BECAUSE FLAY IS JUST THAT COOL OR SOMETHING. justiceinamask January 29 2010, 01:55:28 UTC
Lucky for Flay, the Vespa wasn't a terribly quiet vehicle - and he'd heard Haruko on it so many times that dodging it was basically an instinct.

What... wasn't an instinct was turning around with that little umbrella, shouting something and... hitting the vehicle. With the umbrella. It didn't even bend, though, quite literally turning the Vespa sideways and to go fly into something other than himself or Billy - his Mana showed up for a moment, then disappeared again, leaving Flay to catch his breath and not even think of responding to Christie just yet.

VESPA ORGY ALL UP IN THIS PLACE.

Namely in the form of a Haruko on a vespa of her very own, storming into the media center because HELLO there was a show in progress and that show was in dire need of some entertainment.

But there was some really weird crap going on. Like a giant MASS OF BRIGHT NEON COLORS just kind of.. flailing around an umbrella or something.

Color should NOT be able to hold things.

Haruko squinted and instead of swerving aside to AVOID the brightly colored something-or-other - IT WAS BLINDING HER SO IT REALLY WASN'T HER FAULT - and just decided she might as well just...make contact. There were no road crews to get on her case here, right?!

This had to be the most logical course of action here!
