Down Stairs John can rot
My downstairs neighbor, lets call him John, likes to play his guitar. He likes to play his guitar and even sometimes sing. Unfortunately for me he likes to play loud... as in really really really loud. As in, shit starts to vibrate and I cannot concentrate loud. This is horrible in itself, but to top it off he is bad, really really really bad.
I cannot just ask him to stop, or see my side of things, because he is a bully. My sister and my mother have lived above him and have tried to deal with him. But he just sights the law which is vague and says that no loud music can be played after 10 pm, but until that magical time of the night he can be as loud as he damn well pleases.
I've though of ways to combat this problem, but I have other neighbors, whom I like and would like them to continue liking me. John on the other hand can rot.
Any ideas? He cannot know its me, I don't want it to be permanently destructive or damaging to any of his belongings. Just a nuisance that I can do that is hopefully protected by law by my American right.
I am a good person, and I have put up with this for almost a year. But when I come home from work and just want to rest the last thing I need is bad rendition of Secret Agent Man making everything on my walls vibrate and scare my kittens.
Please help. I dont want to just leave my apartment and wait till he is done... I want to be able to enjoy my life.
