(no subject)
It's been a few days...life has been busy. On Saturday I had solo-ensamble. Cliff notes:
trio: gold, little trouble last four measures.
large: gold, good, solos good, 32nd notes a bit off.
quartet:gold, but ugh, stupid rules, stupid judge, proud of myself for not freaking out. again rules: burn in hell! (over it now)
solos: Didn't hear as many as I would have liked. Heard Caitlin's (which rocked), and Jordan E. and Cassie practice thiers. Wish I could have heard more.
ensambles: Heard a couple from outside the door. heard a bit of the first violin trio...it rocked too! N. large ensamble, really good, and sophomore boys (or whatever the hell they are) sounded good too.
my solo: didn't play cause of wrist. Kinda felt left out cause everyone got to play theirs and do well and go to state. Most frustrating part: I played on Friday, and it sounded good, I know with a some more practice would have most likely gotten a one. Bummed cause prolly the safest thing to do rather than screw up my wrist more. Maybe I could have switched to an old solo that would have required minimal work so I could still play a solo my senior year and still not harm my wrist. *sigh* too late now. Usually preparing solos is a bitch, but when it isn't there you really miss it.
Next came playwriting, and then I went to go see the Crucible:
Not one of my fave plays, but enjoyed it anyway. Acting was really good. My fave is toss up between Anna and Jordan S. Anna made such a hated character like Abby and made her...not so hated. Jordan S. as Procter just rocked. He was really good...better than I expected. On a side note it was nice to see Kara and Sarah again.
Studying for Lit and Comp test was a big headache. I spent like two hours on it. i retained nothing. Of course the test will be over her subjective opinions and I will fail misribley. But who cares? As long as mantain above a 4.0 and get an honors diploma I don't give a flying rat's ass. And even if I fail it misriblely I'll get a B. Who cares? The class is worthless anyhow (A sentiment shared by many).
This week is shaping up to be another busy one. Too many tests, too much homework, too much other crap I have to do.
Positive: the dvds I ordered six weeks ago are supposed to come tommorow:)
