Holy crap it's been ages since I touched this thing! Even since Niki gently reminded me:

Subject: hey!
update, dammit

Why haven't I updated since... let's see... Feb. 12th? Yikes. It's very nearly June! Well... probably because I fell out of habit, if I had even established one, for a few weeks or so, and then I started getting crazy ass neurological difficulties all the time and was in too much pain or too out of it to have the ambition and clarity to write excessively long posts to my semi-secret journal that no one ever reads, except apparently Niki. :-D

Yeah.... I don't even remember how it all happened now... I started getting eye twitches like a year and a half ago, and digit and facial numbness several months ago, I had weird headaches last November and then those came back in March I think, plus some extra weirdness... I don't know... but in the end I started spacing out and not being able to move my eyes, like you could literally wave your hand like you were going to slap me in them and I wouldn't blink, but I'd still be awake, and I had a pretty much constant splitting headache that had like a dozen different variations up it's sleeve to keep me interested? Not cool! I was sent to a shitty neurologist who did nothing to help me for a few weeks while I had some tests run and waited for results (and while my bloody insurance ran out!) and when we went back he seemed pretty confused and said there was a syndrome that might cause migraine headaches and seizures, although he hadn't asked me about my headaches and couldn't have known if they were migraines, and since he did the wrong kind of EEG he hadn't witnessed an actual seizure, and the syndrome he knew of didn't have a name or a test to confirm it or anything... he just sent me home on an annoyingly strong seizure medication that makes me sick when I miss a dose for a few hours, which is great because we all know how much Lindsay loves getting up at the same time every day to do something that only takes a minute and then spend an hour or more falling back asleep. That was a long sentence and I apologize for it. The headaches have eased up on their own, at least frequency wise, but I don't credit the pills much for that... The weird absence seizures have gotten a little less frequent but more severe, I can actually have my eyes open and be totally unconscious and for the most part unresponsive now... which is great timing because my boyfriend of 4 years finally got to come spend time with me and I royally creeped him out several times doing that.

Yes, it's true. My lumberjack came and visited me, I'm not quite as crazy as many people suspected as he isn't a figment of my imagination. He spent 2 and a half weeks here and unfortunately I had to give him back to his family (especially the kitties). I should really elaborate more on that, seeing as it was the most New and Exciting!® stretch of time I've had in ages, and something I'll look back fondly upon for the rest of my life, but it's like... My secret romance with my possibly imaginary lumberjack was so... mysterious. My friends heard nothing of him until we'd been together for like 8 months, and even then I purposely made him out to sound as imaginary as possible and gave out few details. People tell me EVERYTHING about their relationships, often more than I want to know (not naming names here, they all know who they are) and I sit their quietly listening... Now everyone has MET my special lumberjack and I feel all on-display and violated! So... umm....

I took him to Horsefeathers and to see the Jack Benny statue in Waukegan.
I took him mini-golfing.
I took him to the Buckingham Fountain in Chicago and we tried to see the magic bean (aka the Cloud Gate) but it was covered with a freaking giant tent!
I took him... out for Chinese food with my dad.
I took him to the ER and subsequently the hospital.
I took him to a bridal store on the way home from the ER.
I tried to take him out to Whey Chair but it was mysteriously closed an hour early and we had to go to Star-lite and I had mediocre food for like $8 and I got very very sick the next day O.o;;
I took him to let the dog I was baby-sitting out and ended up cleaning up after a dead cat.
I took him out with Niki to umm... Michael's and Piggly Wiggly and a dollar store? Did we go to another store? I don't remember. x_x

By "Took" I mean "dragged"; by securing a ride and not letting him leave my side. Except the ER. He accepted a ride from a neighbor on his own for that. (I ditched him to hang with paramedics and run cars off the road in their ambulance) It was all good fun. Until Mutti dragged him to the airport! Now I'm all lonely and people should play with me but they aren't. Oh well. I lived all alone all the time for a long time and got accustomed to having someone next to me 23/7 in about 3 days, I'll re-adjust to hermit-dom soon enough. I got cats, don'tcha know.

Oh, another reason that I'm leaving out details is that my cousin never witnessed my lumberjack was here, and his whole family did, so now he might think it's a conspiracy! Eeew... Jürgen's breath is pretty rancid right now... Who's poo has he been eating? What was I talking about? Eh, who cares, he's sitting on my right arm and it's hard to type with just my left hand... >.>
