+++ this is a beautiful icon. The use of color and light is fantastic and the curved border works great to give focus to the center of the icon.

That the borders around Rose and The Doctor is a bit rounded works really well. That the background is darker towards the top and brighter closer to Rose and The Doctor helps draw the eye to them.

~ the idea behind this is great, I think if you centered the negative space, by having Doctor & Rose standing more towards or on the bottom of the icon: it would be much more effective. And perhaps some lighting or textures to emphasize the pair - make them darker or lighter in comparison to their surroundings :)

~ The only reason I didn't have your icon as my third vote was due to image quality. Either the crop is too close for the image (which would suck cause it's a lovely crop!) or the colours overexposed/washed out. Try a duplicate softlight layer or light colour burn perhaps?

~ It's a nice icon (pretty colors!), but there's just too much going on. The icon would probably look even better with some empty space in it. If, for example, the "as it should be" were taken out of the icon and "The Doctor & Rose" (love how that text was written) was moved to that place in the bottom corner, then the eye would more easily be drawn to The Doctor and Rose.
